Elephant Child Aux Send Episode Clip:
“Aux Send is a Web-based live studio performance show dedicated to featuring unique, interesting, diverse, and unsigned/small label artists from across the nation. The selection process is largely driven by the recommendations of artists who have already performed on the show, in an effort to explore an uncharted network of interconnected artists.”

Aux Send recently produced an episode about Elephant Child. The video above is only a partial clip. To enjoy the entire episode, some insights into the minds behind Elephant Child, and their thoughts on Harrisonburg, and even F/NF, click here.
Elephant Child is also playing this Saturday, the day before the Borrowed Beams of Light Show. Check the flyer below for info:
Funny / Not Funny Records is back with the sixth installment of the reformatted Label Mixtape Series. If you missed the previous months head over to our 8tracks site where they are archived. This month the mix was put together by me, Ben Schlabach, and features old projects from members of F/NF bands. Some are demos, some are polished, but all of them have a place in the family tree that is Funny / Not Funny Records. I hope everyone enjoys taking a stroll down memory lane, as much as I did putting this mix together.
Track Information:
1. Body Electric - Fader I have found memories of seeing this band in basements and pizza joints. Features members of Super Vacations and PC Worship. 2. The Matlock Four - Stegosaurus High School Heroes, this is likely the band I have seen the most times in my life. Features members of Elephant Child, John Jacob, My Mind. 3. The Cobras - Work to Drink Drunk, Sloppy, and in love with the Mummies. Features members of Uncle Bengine, Elephant Child, Order, John Jacob and F/NF 4. Sing! Sing! Prison - Making the Clouds Bleed Complex, beautiful and angular, a staple in Harrisonburg in the early ’00s. Features members of the Alphabet, American Tourist/Matt Leech, F/NF. 5. Sums - No Title? I don’t know much about this track, as you can see from the lack of title, but I do know that the Sums were a high energy surf band that ruled with an iron fist in the late 90’s. Features members of Order 6. Truman Sparks - Egglore, The Dragon Mummy Riff filled indie-prog from Charlottesville. Features members of Invisible Hand 7. Hayfever - Bid Bin Ladin Goodbye The result of extra time in Scary’s Recording studio, southern rock spin off. The only time I saw them play the singer said “I am glad they didn’t crash that shit into Hardee’s, that’s where I work and that’s where I play” before launching into this song. Featuring members of Order, Uncle Bengine 8. Crossed Eyes - Rattled Pop-punk how it should be, fast, raw and too the point. They have a 7” still available from Sorry State Records. Features members of Whatever Brains, Order.
